Track Information

Tampa Bay Quarter Midget Racing Association is affiliated with Quarter Midgets of America, a Non-profit youth racing organization.   Racing is for children from the age of 5-16 years of age with specially designed cars 1/4 the scale of a full adult midget racecar.  The safety equipment, rules and procedures are also designed with the safety of our children at the forefront. 

Currently we race at the Ambassador Racing School located in Balm, Florida.  The Garcia Family has been gracious enough to donate the use of the track for all club and regional races.  Our racing schedule is every other Sunday, with the gates opening at 9:00am.  Registration and sign is at 9:00 with racing to begin at 11:30 preceding the Driver Handlers meeting. 

Spectators are welcome and admission is always free.  Come out and check it out!

Ambassador Racing School

 Conveniently located & easily accessible from the Tampa Bay area. Whether your coming from the North or South, take I-75, look for the 'Apollo Beach' signage, and EXIT THERE... (it is the old exit #47)

From either the north or south exiting ramps, head (east) to 301 S. (landmarks to look for at that intersection are: a 7-11 Store, Hess Station, & the entrance to Summerfield Homes) turn right there...

Head (south), on the (east-side you will pass 'South Fork' Homes, a Church, begin looking for a DOT Sign, on the right-side     (west-side) which reads- 'BALM') at the very next road (C.R. 672) you will be turning & heading (east), drive approximately        5 miles...

Once you've spotted the Hillsborough Community 'Balm' Park on the south-side of the road, Mind the 'SPEED' limit,  (approximately eight (8) driveways), & begin  looking for signs at the entrance to the school,  Ambassador School, is located on the south side.

Tampa, FL- is the airport closest to the track. It is approximately 45 mins. to the Red Roof Inn in Brandon, FL on SR 60.  The phone number is 813-681-8484 standard rate is $89.00 with two double beds. The drive time from there to the track would be approximately 15 minutes.  Lots of shopping and restaurants on SR60.
